I personally don't blame you based on the reasons you gave why you don't trust your friends. However, you have to consider the consequences of this disposition. I bet you don't wanna end up being "paranoid" for the rest of your life which would limit your involvement to the rest of world. My point is that, not trusting totally or seriously someone, brings limited room for you to move, to act, to do certain decisions, or even to have the life you wanted. The hardest part i would say in having this outlook is the difficulty to move forward and grab the opportunity offered by someone in a relationship. You might be involve in a relationship but in a very limited and doubtful way. You can always say to yourself that "i can do this alone without necessarily trusting", but the degree of happiness which would result will be highly limited or even superficial.
There is nothing wrong with you, it is just normal for every person to act that manner when we feel betrayed or abandoned. However, to stick in that position and letting ourselves stuck in that place will hurt our own selves the most [not the people outside us].

um.. i dont think it's just you, maybe your dad's fault for making you feel that way. why talk to him? well you know i dont ALWAYs trust my friends, but if they seem to tell the truth and NEVER break a promise then they are to be trusted...(if they broke maybe 2 promises and THATS it then it's still the same, trust them) but i dont blame you, a lot of people dont trust their friends.

its not you... its those who forget or dont value promises. if my best friend made me a promise and i valued the relationship i would let them know how i feel and that my feelings were hurt. besides, of all of the people in the world my best friends know me best because they see a side of me that even my family hasnt.

I don't see any thing wrong with you, when a person have be lie to over, and over, again it is had to have trust in anyone for thinking that they will lie again, and you will be hurt again. So keep your guards up until you can trust again.

You have had unpleasant experiences. There's nothing wrong with you but you have built mental walls to protect yourself. If and when you feel that they are more of a handicap to you than to other people you will have to dismantle them But easy does it.
