Ok... so.. I'm home alone for the weekend, and I accidentally locked myself out of my room. The windows are locked from the inside so I can't just go climb in. On one side, theres a simple dial thingy you twist to lock and unlock it. On the other side, its a small circle hole. There's no key to the door. I really need some help.

I tried messing around with the inside of the doorknob with a paperclip but it's empty.

get a coat hanger(metal). Some of them you need to just push in the center then turn the handle to diable the lock. It will not "unlock"it thought so unlock it after you get the door open

Two things ...1 try straightening out your paper clip and just pushing it through the hole and against the other side of the doorknob....this may spring it open.

If not....

Try slipping a card between the door jamb and pushing the latch in with the card so that the door springs open.

bump keys are a tad long I think. So when you tap and try to turn the key at the same time the ridges on the key temporarily knock the springy piston things so they all jump up for an instant allowing you to turn the key. Or something like that

JD is right. It's an interior door lock, usually used in bathrooms. The lock is mainly for privacy, but easily opened from the outside, in the event your kids lock themselves in.

so.... you locked yourself out but you can still use the computer? Anyways, try using a bump key. Those things work like a charm and work really well
