You may be able to fix this by increasing the frequency response of the monitor. Right click anywhere on a blank spot on your desktop, choose "Properties", then click on "Settings", then on the "Advanced" tab. Now click on the "Monitor" tab, and you'll see a down arrow next to a section that says "Screen Refresh Rate". It's probably set at 60 Hertz. Change that to 75 Hertz. Hopefully this will fix the problem. Hope this helps.

I thought I saw some guy on youtube or metacafe with a program supposedly to fix dead pixels on an LCD screen. Might be worth a search and some research.

Try pushing the reset button on the monitor itself to bring it back to default. You may have something like sharpness set too high.
