You have a gift of compassion. Don't be freaked out! It's a good thing. God blesses the last ones! Just because someone is popular or someone is a loser, doesn't make him any less or more before God! However, the insignificant ones are the ones God cares for more! So, in a way, you could be someone God is using to let those people know they are appreciated. There is nothing embarrassing about it! If you accept the gift, and go alone with it, you will be surprised on how much God will bless you in the future! You have a good heart, and no matter how much you'll try to cover it up with arrogance, never forget that you could change someone's life if you just let things happen!

This made me laugh, no offense, because I've said the same thing countless times. I still haven't figured out why, but now that I'm married with a family, it doesn't matter much. I guess we put off some sort of "vibe".. I don't really know, but just steer clear of anyone that seems to be "overanxious".

Join the club! If there's someone who is emotionally inept or just completely insane, they'll want to date me or be my friend. I'm really starting to wonder if there are any normal people alive anymore. Is everyone on planet Earth just psycho? lol Whatever that loser magnet is, I've got it too. Don't feel bad. I've had the same problem my entire life. However, what has changed now is my willingness to be empathetic with everyone.
It's because you are a compassionate person and also one who listens. People feed on it...and people like you and me like to think we are open minded. The problem being...you end up with a lot of people on your list waiting for your therapy sessions.
The key is to learn to tune some of it out...you can still be compassionate, but curb your reaction to sob stories and such. It will take some time, but you will eventually pick up the art of expressing sympathy without inviting people to take advantage of your kind nature.

There is no such thing as a "loser magnet" however you need to evaluate why you are attracted to people who are high maintenance. maybe it not them maybe it's you.......What I mean by that is, you may give the impression to some people that you are easy to manipulate.

Heh, heh...I have a female friend who sez exactly the same thing. She seems really in control, maybe that attracts these kinds of guys....or maybe most single guys have problems...is why they are single....with the possible exception of myself.
