The computers starts ok, and then takes me to my desktop, but when I try to do anything in it, it shuts down and comes up with the error about the bad_pool_caller. Also when is starting up I get this message about sgtray.exe, and I click allow and install driver but it doesn't do it. What can I do to fix this problem, should I erase the hard drive? and if so, how?
Thank you...

DEAR FRIEND,

it is very simple,

due to improper shut-down some file is corrupt. so better reinstall the windows software again.

1. restart your laptop
2. press F2 or DEL of the keyboard while restarting
3. the laptop will go to BIOS
4. here in the BOOT option , set First Boot from CD ROM drive, Save settings (by pressing F8)
5. INSERT the CD in the drive
6. restart the laptop, it will restart with the help of CD
7. Let it do and load, at the end it will ask to load software
8 here you can format c drive and can load the new software
9. after loading new WINDOW you can format rest of the dirve with windows operating system
10. try it. don't just read, ... have a nice day...

I really do not envy your situation. The IBM laptops tended to have a problem with memory leaks. I would suggest that you replace motherboard and try again. This problem was common in the T series IBMs
