what is the best method to get mustard stain out of a cotton shirt?

it is a new stain, it just happened today. and its a brand new shirt! dang it! lol its kinda a linen sort of material.

Use damped bar soap after soaking it in water, work the thickened soap through the spot.
(With a cloth on either side, turning the cloth to catch the stain.) Then launder. Bleach is not your best option, since some cloth is "dyed" to white from the natural flax color of cotton. (A little club soda would
have helped when the stain was new.)

Here is two solutions: For general stain removal, I use a large spray bottle into which I put 1/2 cup each of Wisk, ammonia, and vinegar. I then fill the bottle to the top with water.
Spot removal

Two parts water and one part rubbing alcohol are the basic ingredients in any commercial spot remover.

Put a small amount of your dish detergent (not dishwasher detergent) and rub it in. Then just let it sit until you do a load of laundry or you can wash it right away.

IWell if it is white use bleach . If not try peroxide
