Please Mr. former R ! Religon is not the problem, the human race is. Yes I do think there is a God but I would rather have that belief then the one where man is the almighty! if I had to think for one minute that man is the almighty and I could only look forward to all the great things WE can do for ourselfs then we are in real trouble.all the good that some humans try to do is over shadowed by most humans thinking that they can take over the world and everything in it. It's amazing to me that most people have no proplem saying " man I realy need a drink" or "boy I realy need some drugs" or " I guess I could try rehab and get some help" but if a person says " I believe God could help" well then they must be weak! they must be crazy or a religious nut. Humans are aloud to say they need ANYTHING but GOD. why is that. do you think It's because they are afarid that if they believe in God they may have to act like a real human being and not a God themselfs ?

Religion and religious beliefs are a personal thing. Each of us decides for himself what he believes or doesn't believe. These beliefs are often so strong that we seem to want others to conform to our beliefs. That has caused much strife in the world. Even today we see desputes between people over religious beliefs. The best thing to do is to keep it to yourself and leave others to keep their beliefs to themselves.

Belief can create anything .Religious is part of creation it self .A bible teaches you peace and how to live and how to keep a healthy life .Religion is real as texts go back thousands of years .But hollywood or the media should not make fun or abuse faith as they do not understand religion in is true sense then should have not taken any coffins out of any holy lands as its is a disrespect of religion and the familys. To make storys about religion is wrong as it teaches the communtiy the wrong way .

I use religion to give myself a social standing in the community, it gives you more respect, and people trust you more cause you say you are religious.
Actually I would feel guilty if I did this..
Being religious for this purpose is the greatest selfish step.
Would you sacrifice Earth in order to save yourself?
so that "You" can go unselfishly to heaven?

FIRST OF ALL, THE TITLE OF YOUR QUESTION IS ALL WRONG. YOU ARE CONFUSING RELIGION WITH GOD. GOD IS NOT A RELIGION. DON'T CONFUSE THE TWO. THAT IS THE REASON PEOPLE ARE SO AFRAID TO MENTION GOD LIKE YOU SAID. RELIGION HAS RUINED SOCIETY WITH ALL THE RULES AND REGULATIONS. JESUS GAVE TWO COMMANDMENTS LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR LIKE YOURSELF AND LOVE GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND SOUL. JUST FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE RULES AND LIFE IS A BREEZE. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG AND PEOPLE NEED TO BE TAUGHT THIS. THAT WAY THEY WON'T BE AFRAID TO SAY THEY NEED GOD'S HELP. THERE WOULDN'T EVEN BE AN ISSUE IN THE FIRST PLACE. I don't know about religion in general, but I know my God is real.
The ultimate test will be when they die, what if they were wrong all along?
What a scary scenario, if man was the ultimate. I would go ahead and kill myself now.
