And when will it be back. How long does it take to "improve" it?(Its like waiting for the oil companies to fix the oil rigs damaged from the one hurricane so gas/oil prices can finally go back down again...Not!!! )
From: Neil Bud
To Yahoo! News readers:

Yahoo! News is working on new ways for readers to comment on the news and participate in a discussion around it. While we work on our new community features, the message boards that were linked from individual news articles have been taken offline.

As they were set up, the Yahoo! News message boards allowed a small number of vocal users to dominate the discussion. In addition, related discussions from similar news articles were not easily linked.

Over the next few months, we plan to offer new discussion forums based on topics in the news and incorporating the latest features to foster a better discussion for all of our readers.

based on topics
sounds great
what division of topics could be the challange
i liked the news and response to it
but every story has good bad points itwould be nice to have the quote or simular quotes together
so perhaps we could indicate what parts of the article we are refering
eg in my reply
i responded to the final paragraph ,
putting forward what i would see that is worth the wait
''to foster a better discussion''
''for all our readers''
good on you news dudes
go neil

good info any time?
a date ?
we could do with some opening publicity ?
or a special page to sort it out ?
?

there is not any sturdy information. it form of feels obvious to me that Mr. Budde is a consummate BS artist. i'm keen to guess that we've seen the final of open communicate on Yahoo. regardless of each and every thing, Mr. Budde used to paintings for The Wall highway magazine. want one say greater?

The message boards were pretty unruly, but nothing like raw commentary exists elsewhere.

Yahoo did their business and the public a terrific disservice. And their stated reasons are disingenuous.
