It happened to me! I used to pee after every event during meets. I don't know why, though.

When you jump in the pool the water is colder than both you and the air on the surface. Your body reacts by shunting blood flow from the extrimities of your body to the middle, or core of your body to prevent heat loss (this is called vasoconstriction). When this happens, one of the organs that receives the higher blood flow is your kidneys. The kidneys are the organ that filter your blood to remove the waste products that our cells make and the kidneys dispose of the waste as pee. Thus more blood flow in the core of the body = more pee.

because you drank water and it has to go out. you sweat less when you swim because the water absorbs much of the body heat generated by your physical exertion. so the excess water in your body goes out the only other way possible: pee.

i don't know..didn't realize it till you mentioned it, it happens to me too. probably because on land sports you sweat, so the fluids are out going through the skin. but in swimming you are in the water where the sweat glands are blocked by the water, so fluid that needs to go out, finds another path, through pee pee.
or it could be all that water you're in, tricks your brain thinking its a big toilet, just kidding

i think you always kind of accidentally drink a little bit of water. this only happens to me when i am just messing around in a pool, not when im swimming laps. i have no idea why it doesnt happen when i swim laps though.. its just weird. i dont see this as a huge problem though

In water, you don't sweat that much, so how do you suppose the excess water are to come out if not through urination?

it has nothing to do with being wet. it has to do with temperature differance.....when you go into a pool you dont have to pee but when you get out after being in there for such a long period of time.........your body will reckognize the change in temperature and make you have to pee
