Okay I have been hearing things that flyleaf is or was a christian rock band is this true?

I don't think that they are general known as being a "Christian" rock band. I believe some of the members, if not all are Christians. But they're pretty intense and hardcore, very edgy if you ask me, so technically they're not a Christian band,
They might even be trying to reach some darker music listeners through positive lyrics, so you never know, i'm not one to judge

yes and no, Flyleaf could be considered as a Post-Grunge type of thing and it also can be considered as a Alt Christian Punk band so yeah....hope my answered helped!!

Yes they are. Lacey, the lead singer, discovered Jesus when she was 16. Her grandmother found out she was going to commit suicide and took her to church. She was athiest but became Christian. Sooo, she has circled her life around Jesus and God.
