hi, meg here.do you have pimples? hope you don't have, but you are prone. i'm like that too before.
Morning:l'm using pore minimizer by Dr. Belo, or it can be pore refining solution Dr. Naval (cityland vittocruz orange peel spa) or any pore minimizer with alum content-subtance that reduces oilyness) consult and get one from your derma. or you may use alcohol-free toner by neutrogena.
Do this before applying make-up, never use oilbased concealers (i've tried vmv, cinemasecrets, maxfactor, loreal, but the best is laura mercier). and of course use an oil-free make-up. Before i'm using vmv and clinique, but for me the best is sheseido poreless foundation bf20 P1850, coz i have great skin now.
If you can, during lunch time, please do so reapply make-up, and do not retouch when there's oil, it will not look good and it will just worsen your oiliness. You may use neutrogena facial wash (with salicylic acid content use may see it at the back) or clearasil soap (this is the one i'm currently using, alternatively with glycolic soap 5% by Dr. Belo). Clearasil is pimple control soap with tryclosan-germ fighting ingrediant, and has glycerin - won't totally dry up your skin. Why alternate or every other day? Because glycolic soap has safe and mild peeling effect, gentle enough to unclog your pores, removing 2 layers of your skin, and is most important for oily skin, because we are prone to pimples.
At night after washing my face with soap, i follow it up with pore minimizer then i use St. Ive's firming mask P160, it's being done by my derma, and she said it's alright if i do this at home. Most of the time I sleep with St ive's firming mask and the next day when I woke up, i don't have any oil on my skin.
Plus whenever I feel that a pimple would come out, I immediately use a mixture of apple cider vinegar and salt using a genlt dab of cotton on infected area for 15 minutes, i leave it dry and then use ice cubes (gently without pressure) for 20 minutes, then St ives firming mask again.
Now, i am totally pimple-free.
Acne scars are regularly treated with magic cream ( i have my own original source of magic cream) and diamond peel with my trusted dermatologist.
Of course you have to sleep early, avoid stressful activities, drink a lot of water, at least 1 glass per hour, avoid fatty foods and in-can processed and fast food, instead eat fruits rich in vit a, b, c, and e: banana, carrot, apple, and tomotatoes most especially. During lunchtimes or weekends, when I eat only tomatoe (little salt) and rice, I also put tomatoe extract on my face for 15 minutes because it has natural astringents, and I feel great afterwards.
Hope i was able to help you, these were the best methods i could share with you. thanks, God bless!

You can get a laser procedure done called SmoothBeam. It's about 400$ per session, and you'll probably need about 4, but it does wonders for your skin. It increases collagen, which decreases fine lines and small scars, and improves skin texture, it shrinks pores, and damages the oil glands so as to decrease oil production, which in turn also helps to keep your skin clear.
As for the mascara bit. You should try to get something called "kiss me" mascara. It is a wicked new product that is very different from normal mascara. It actually forms a tube around each lash, so it doesn't clump, run, smudge etc. You actually have to use warm water and lightly pull them off your lashes. It acts to both lengthen and thicken your lashes too. You can get it at most high end salons, or cosmetic surgery/spa type places. It is fairly expensive (around 30$).
You could also get lash extensions. Check out www.extremelashes.com (think that's the website anyways). The price for a full set ranges from about 40 - 125$ usually, and they look great and very natural if done by a good beautician. They eliminate the need to wear mascara, or if you want you can also wear mascara over them.

Sometimes, cleansing too much or too often can cause oily skin. There are rice papers or in a pinch, those toilet seat covers in some public bathrooms are good for a blot over a shiny spot.

Yes Clinique has a product called "sheer mattness" it is a white cream you apply on oily areas before you apply base, or powder or even if you aren't wearing any make up! It inhibits oil production. I used to work for Clinique years ago but this product is so great they should still carry it. Go get a Clinique person to demo this for you. You will LOVE it.

Clean your face with astringent pads if frequently washing your face leaves your skin irritated. Use only water-based or oil-free cosmetics .
