Now this individual is getting free exposure for for his business at the tax payor's expense. I do not think that is right. Anyone knows where to find the rules as to what is allowed and what is not? Which agency regulates something like this?

Yes absolutely he can. The private life of an individual does not stop once elected to public office. If anything this would allow better/greater transparanciy in his business dealings with everyone now being aware of his role in the enterprise. There would be no "cover-up" and less possibility of percieved inpropriety.

If it is in the form of an ad I would object. If it is just something in a list of accomplishments I don't see anything wrong with it.
