You are right. If they want them, tell them that they have to buy them. Once they realize how long it takes to make that money, they won't want to waste it on a pair of dumb shoes. Tell them they can go to Pay Less Shoes.

I love fashion...but 500 for sneakers??? would you be pissed if someone stepped on them?? if so u cant afford 500 sneakers...if you dont care then go ahead ...Buy another pair!!

Don't do that, because every shoes have their expired date to ensure it will support your foot, it will last about 5years, things to be sure before you buy a shoes, materials, heel support, ankle guard, i think u may get a pair of nike with $100 something.

It depends on how fantastic they are... I do not have kids, but I do have nieces, and my sister does indulge them with outrageously expensive duds once in a while. I guess it just depends if you have the means (money), and your view on the situation. You said you felt it was ridiculous, so I would not do it.

ONCE IN A LIFETIME IS OKAY. I'VE PAID $300 FOR A PR OF SHOES AND MIGHT DO IT AGAIN IF I LIKE THEM ENOUGH.
