"The Special Theory of Creation" sounds like something very formal and specific. I've heard some claim that Linnaeus had a hypothesis called this or "special creation theory", though it was actually a hypothesis and not a theory. That's all I've heard.

If there is such a thing, someone named it "special theory" so that people would think it was special and that it was a theory.
Sounds like another belief system absent any evidence to me.

Genesis 1:1 says "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth..."
If you believe that the Bible is written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit then you should believe that God created everything.
