As a nurse myself, If I were in the same situation. I would tell the husband gently that I'm not comfortable with the conversation. If he continues then you inform your charge nurse or superior and request that someone speak with him. She can also ask him to please step out of the room while she does her work.

What in the HELL are you babbling about?

Write clearly. Geezus it's almost impossible to understand you.

It SOUNDS like you are saying a guy recovering in ICU was trying to flirt with a nurse. So? Just tell him to shut up and ignore it. Lots of people feel close to those who care for them. It's nothing personal. Nurse or no nurse - I don't care if you're the friggin' plumber you just say, "We aren't going to talk about me because that's too personal -- this is just my job" and let it go.

It sounds to me that he is just trying to be friendly.
