Lucky or Not.... I have had my car for 5 years.. and not one crack in the..?

windshield, until last week. In one day, I received 4 chips within a 3 hour period. It was a nice day, slightly cool with the sun just shining through the clouds; so I park my car facing the sun. I return back to it an hour later.. and one of the chips has turned into a large "t" shape crack directly in the middle of my windshield... covers almost all of it. I'm thinking "gee, I was pretty lucky to have made it 5 years without a crack, and at least it all happened at once...." I mean it's bound to happen eventually right?
My husband's thinking " Oh my gosh babe, that sucks! what rotten luck!"
So I ask, lucky or not?

You are lucky my friend! I bought a brand new Explorer and only had it a couple of Weeks when a dump truck passed me and threw a rock up and broke my windshield. I was soooo not happy. I could drive the biggest piece of crap and nothing ever happens to it. I also had a hit and run on my new one, hit a deer with my new one and many a door dings! I started calling it the black omen and would have traded it in but as soon as I drove it off the lot, I lost about $5,000!! I wish I was as lucky as you.

Lucky. I scratched up my brand new car when I was learning to drive. And someone rear-ended my fiance's brand new car recently. And years ago someone sideswiped my paren'ts brand new car when it was parked on the street. You're incredibly lucky to have made it 5 years without any damage!
