Like even if they thought it was bad once, do they later see maybe it would have worked out, if they would have helped a little, or not have swayed him or her away?

Two cases, two different needs, one family: My husband was married to a woman for 20 years. They had 3 children together. In this case his family was almost happy when they divorced as she was not a family oriented woman. (Very important in an Italian family - think "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" ... My husbands brother divorced his wife of 20 years (2 kids) and EVERYONE in the family wants them to get back together. Same family, different thoughts. Utimately, one must decide for oneself what is best. A person must live with oneself and their partner. It is not up to the family to decide.

Sure..I have two siblings that broke up with a certain person and we wish they could get back together...but it's not up to us.
