Need to replace my 2 front and 1 rear wiper blades of my 1993 Dodge Caravan. I checked out the Rainx Latitude ones, but the 22" is $20.99, and then I need two 18" blades and the total comes to nearly $57.00 total. To me it seems expensive. Is it? Otherwise, what are some great blades? (I have 2 young children and love to play it safe)

I live in NY (and hate hot weather, so moving isn't an option heh heh). Winter's over, but it doesn't mean we can't get snow. However with weather as it's been, it's not likely going to be anything more than flurries. I expect just rain. And we change the entire blade (no refills...they suck), about every 3-6 months depending on their condition. If they're dirty we just clean them. However, at this moment...one's kinda broken. And the back one doesn't wipe the entire area for whatever reason (it gets about a 4 inch strip). So time for new ones.

It really depends on where you live.Snow blades, etc.Price doesn't matter too much if you replace the entire blade.Refills(inserts) are a joke and will give you more grief in the long run.Just remember,if they are torn or tattered, time for them to go.All blades that are rubber are just that, rubber.I don't care if you have one blade or 50,it WILL wear out.Try cleaning them if they streak, and replacing them when necessary to keep your family safe.

I would never pay $20 for 1 blade, that is a rip off!! You can get michelin, anco and rainx blades for less than half that price.

Most of the ones you find at the auto store do a respectable job. Just get the cheapest ones you can find. I recently bought 2 for about $10 and they work great. Just make sure you install them correctly, and you're on your way. Good luck!
