Did the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie or cartoon come first? I'm obviously not talking about the new movie....

Started off as a comic book about pizza eating, beer drinking super hero turtles. I think they may have even smoked in the original comic- sorry "graphic novels". Obviously it had to watered down for the kids

Comic books, Cartoon, Movies, Another Cartoon, Then a new movie. Thank god the new movie is animated. The comics never stopped being made though. Where as the cartoons and movies did. Ninja Turtles will live on! They were so cool & popular that even Japan made a verison of them!

I think it was the cartoon. My son who is now almost 30 used to watch the cartoon everyday. Then the movie came out because we went to see it.
