ok so i've know "sara" since she was 14 and she is now 23, and she met "joan" over the summer. When we all out together she tells everone that her and joan are best friends and it makes me sad cause i've know her longer and i feel like she doesn't care about me. help

you can have more than 1 best friend. you both are different and both have different qualities that she likes and gets along with. if you love someone, you don't have to tell them.. they just know. so if you know she's your best friend, she doesn't have to say it. you can't just have one friend, you have to be open. only in kindergarden are you allowed to only have 1 best friend. you guys are probably beyond a point of friendship and now to family, dont be jealous.. there is nothing to be jealous of. but if you are so close, you should also be able to express how you feel to her so she knows where you stand and what you think.

This is going to be really hard to take and say because I have been here before but get over it. Friends come and go. You could also try talking to her and telling her how you feel. Good Luck
