Okay. First off, I want to admit that I am a layman in computers. I am almost a complete novice.

So what I want to ask is, could anyone give me a step-by-step guide for a NOVICE on how to save emails from my free yahoo account to my computer?

What programs should I use? And HOW do I use them?
For instance, I've seen people say to send them to "Outlook Express" several times, but I have never used that program before, so I don't know how.

Because all of the answers to that question that I have seen, have been in computer jargon that I cannot understand. If you need it, I can give you an e-mail address to send the answer to, if the answer is too in depth for this forum.

I just want my yahoo emails saved to my computer, so that I can keep them forever and even print some of them off without all of the copying and pasting from Yahoo to Word.

Please help, if you would.

Thank you so much,
Darkened Wings

Thank you, but I know how to save them within my Yahoo account.
What I am trying to do is save them to my hard drive.

You see, I'd like to have my e-mails in Word format, or some other format where I can put them on a flash drive.

The problem is that I have 3000 emails that I want to transfer as several different groups.

So I cannot just take each individual letter and copy and paste it into Word because of the shear time it would take to do.

I want to export my emails onto my PC so that I can save them, put them on a flash drive, and print some of them.

Any more help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Darkened Wings

When your email page is open you will see MY FOLDERS. If it says SHOW beside it click on this and create a folder. I have my own name on mine. When i have an email I want to save I click on MOVE which is located to the right of DELETE/SPAM/MARK... this will bring up your folder name which can be clicked on and the message is transferred to the folder....good luck

If you are utilizing the traditional variant of Yahoo! Mail there are 2 hyperlinks on the backside of the web page say 'My Photos' and 'My Attachments'. Click on considered one of them, click on the 'Check All' hyperlink on the backside of the web page and click on the 'Save to Computer' button. This is proper for either one of photographs and attachments. After you've gotten downloaded all of the photographs and attachments you'll be able to organize all of them in a one folder or 2, you can come to a decision approximately that.
