For 2 reasons.

1. 24 hours. Sometimes I like to go shopping in the middle of the night and Wal-Mart is the only store open.

2. Coupons. Wal-Mart honors all coupons from any store if they have the same product. It is easier to get everything at once then drive around to the different stores for your coupon specials.

I tend to stay away from the clothes at Wal-Mart (mostly because I'm just very particular about clothes in general), but I don't see anything wrong with purchasing electronics, games, cosmetics, shampoo, or anything else that you can get at Wal-Mart for a few bucks cheaper.

In all honesty, I've found that Target's prices usually meet or even beat those at Wal-Mart. And the clothes are Target are getting better all the time. ;-)

NO! and Never again will I even go near one of their stores!

Since Sam Walton died walmart has stopped being a decent corporate citizen, and is only interested in making another dollar any way they can. No matter what they claim, their prices are not always the best around. They used to try to support American companies. Now they do not even care if they drive other companies out of business. They have become too powerful an economic force, and are now able to tell other companies how to run their businesses. In my eyes their little charitable acts do not compensate for the harm they do.
I will not set foot in walmart, or even watch their ads on TV. While I still shop for the best values, walmart is never even considered. I have no use for them.

I shop at wal-mart and anywhere else I can get a good bargain for my money. Once you take the tags off....no one knows where you shopped anyway!

From the answers that you received it sounds like people who are on Yahoo Answers DON'T like to shop at Wally World - however, as their sales are what they are and the expansion of stores across the US and Canada - there ARE many people shopping there. I am one who does SOME of their shopping at Wal-Mart, however, since the quality is not always high-grade, other stores can still compete in my eyes.

"what's wal-mart? do they like sell walls there?" -Paris Hilton... LOL what a dimwit "heiress"! YES i shop at wal-mart only because they whole company has kicked out all the other little shops here with it's low prices. i don't like them cuz they get HUGE income but pay they're workers way too little. and that's about it.

I shop there for my senior mom, but don't go there on my own. There are so many questions about their suppliers, what if our buying is supporting the inhumane treatment of another person? What if we are helping to support the madness that keeps one group of people down when others take benefits from their sweat? I don't know my friend, I want so much to do the right thing by others and find myself spinning trying to keep up with the truth; the best is I can do is not give up.
