Over the past ten games – a stretch that has seen the Sharks earn 18 out of a potential 20 points (8-0-2 record) – Thornton, Cheechoo and Michalek have posted a combined 51 points (18-33=51). The three players have scored 18 of the Sharks past 38 goals, combined for five of the eight game-winning goals and have also combined for an incredible plus-51 player rating.

They're hot - it's mostly because of Thorton, who tends to gain in strength over the course of a season because of his size (because smaller players wear down) and Cheechoo, who has always played well with him, and Michalek, who is strong and will go to the net.

Thornton's majorly got back in his groove - but even last season, he really only got hot at the end of the season - and he's got good linemates who are on their game too. It's not incredible, it's just, the parts of the Sharks puzzle, starting with the guys who are now on the 1st line, are coming together.

But it's a team thing - Ehrhoff has really been stepping up and making the passes and seeing things the way he did early-season, and Vlasic's been maturing more and more over the course of the season - and he's going to be a 1st quality defensive D.

This question is just suited to me....I love the Sharks! As for the top line - well......Thornton & Cheechoo have always been favourites of mine. Don't know too much about Michalek?? Anyhow, I think the Sharks definitely have a very good shot at winning the cup.

It's like someone switched on the green light for Thornton & Cheechoo ~ they're HOT right now!

Oh yes.... they definitely do. If that dumb Raffi Torres hadn't gone after Michalek's head in last years playoffs, the Oilers woulda been knocked off by the Sharks.

The Thornton line for San Jose is pretty good. It's a combination or speed, power, creativity, and all out skill. Put it this way, if San Jose didn't have that line you'd be comparing them to the Coyotes

They are tough but for some reason cannot put together a cup winning combination. I don't think they can win the long haul of the playoffs.

Michalek is coming into his own, and it is showing! Hopefully they can carry this into the playoffs - if it weren't for that fluky goal last year in Game 3 in Edmonton the cup would have been theirs last year!

Thornton is awesome!!!! But it is a pretty great lineup. Hard to decide who is better, San Jose, Nashville, or Detroit.
