Does anyone know about placing some type of divorce ad in the newspaper, and if the other party does not reply (or contest it) within 15 days, then it can be annulled? What are the true facts on this? The state is TX. Any information and correct input is appreciated.

I think that it is somewhat true. I think that only applies in some states if the person can not be located. But I think that the ad would have to run multiple times over a longer period of time.

it is a fact. my particular state was 14 days. but in my state (PA) the contesting party can just sit on the papers for two years after the legal seperation date before he / she even has to sign the papers. my divorce took three years to become final. check with an attorney in yer area, most places offer free advice on this. no divorce is easy but hang in there.
good luck.

This is true, in some cases, I'm not sure of the exact qualifications for this to work, but yeah, it happens.
