if you have f(x)=3x-2 and your x is either 2 or 4, u just plug that into the equation and get your y coordinate and graph that point

for example,
if x=2 you would plug it in f(x)=3(2)-2 which is 4
so your coordinate point would be (2,4)

if x=4 you would plug it in f(x)=3(4)-2 which is 10
so your coordinate point would be (4,10)

you can continue plugging in x values in the equation and getting multiple y values that will help you graph it easier
