The first step for you to take is to continue your education. You should make sure you get a well rounded education since work in the science field requires not just science or technical skills but skills in Mathematics, Communication, and History. Knowledge of computers and how they operate is also helpful because a lot of things in most sciences are computerized now to save time and money.
The second step is for you to narrow down what type of sciences you like. When your are in high school take all the different science courses you can so you can get a feel for what you like and what you are strong at. While in high school make sure you keep your GPA high so that you can obtain scholarships and grants easier. Try the best you can to also network and do shadow days. If you are interested in geology for example try to shadow a geologist on a typical day to se for sure if you like it or not.
While in high school make sure you choice a reputable accredited college. It is important to pick somewhere you like, but also somewhere that has a good program for your field of study. Plan on going to college for at the very least 6 years to obtain your Bachelor of Science, and Master of Science degrees. Getting your master's degree is very important whether you choose to teach or be a actual scientist. It makes you more competative, and most businesses/school require that you have one. Also if you are wanting to teach at the college level you will need your doctorate degree.
Last ask questions! You should always be asking questions of your teachers you have, parents, ect. They are a vast information of knowledge to help guide you on your process.

The first step towards being a good scientist is an open mind.
So start trying to see all sides of a problem and it's solution. What ever you do - do not start trying to prove something - The right way to go is to test it and see what result you get.
Science is a wonderful subject and there is much to be discovered and marvelled at.
Good school grades leading to university are needed but an open and enquiring mind is the absolute essential for a good scientist.

whether you become a scientist or a science teacher it depends on how much devotion u have towards science. But remember in both the cases it will be difficult for you if you by heart all the theories and formulas, just practical it in your lab and you'll understand all. this is one of the simplest ways to reach your goal. and remember not to change or forgo your goal in the mid way
All the best.

For starters, learn how to spell scientist. Scientists know how to spell science and scientist.
Second, do well in school (college). Try to get internships.
If you don't, then don't give up. Work in a lab as a tech...and then if you so desire, move on to grad school one way or another.
Scientists need to have good English skills too, so don't be fooled....good luck, don't give up
