I agree with you. They should ban extremely thin models. It's send a very negative image for young women and girls thinking that they have to be stick thin to look beautiful. If women everywhere took a stand and say we are not going to tolerate others dictating what is considered beautiful, then these images can change. I feel there is nothing wrong with looking healthy and enjoy a hamburger, fries and a shake on the side now and then. :) Excellent question!

I completely agree that thin models should not be banned. Just because someone is skinny does not mean that they should be kicked out of their profession. Models are supposed to be like clothes hangers anyway. There are plenty of other curvy role models for girls to choose from if they want to be like someone who is not a stick. And if they want to look up to models.. what is wrong with that? There's nothing wrong with wanting to be model thin and it is possible for that to be achieved by healthy means.
And what about the people that are just naturally really thin.. are they supposed to feel ugly and inadequate because thin people can't model?
I say they should leave the models alone and focus on more widespread issues like obesity, high cholesterol, and diabetes.

Nothing wrong with banning girls with eating disorders - but banning thin models in general is disgusting. Basically, it's another step in the WRONG direction or society is taking to cater to fat people! Skinny is not unhealthy. Being fat is.

I completely agree with you. That would not only be stupid, but also unconstitutional to ban skinny models. It is discrimination of others based solely on their appearance. And, like you said, if little girls develop eating disorders, that's their own problem.

All people are all different i think that it is totally wrong to stereotype ANY bodyshape. What do you mean that it is the young girls fault to develop eating disorders???? How thin and attractive are you? Get over yourself.

i really don't care for models. the whole industry just gets on my nerves. i do agree that it's a person's choice to be healthy or not but these thin models are out here rubbin' it in people's faces that they are thin so they kinda "influence others to become thin.

i think of that all varieties of fashions must be employed for style exhibits by way of fact truly there are a number of skinny females and that they ought to no longer be discriminated. variety must be celebrated. It would not be generic if each and all of the fashions have been plus sized because it is not that each and all of the fashions now are so skinny. that is in simple terms that style must be meant for each individual and it is going to be adjusted to categories of physique (no longer the physique to greater healthful 0 sized clothing). The strategies are not important. the image that females ought to have their bones displaying in the time of the exterior is important by way of fact there are people who will do something to grow to be like that.
