Often you will experience water retention, your breasts may become tender, your stomach may feel crampy or bloated or you may have a slight backache. You may feel a little cranky, tired or head-achy. You may crave chocolate or some other food. Then again, you may feel just the same as you feel on any other day of the month. Go figure!

Hi,
You will know when your period is about to come just from a few signs that your body is changing, like...
your breast may seem more sensitive than usual. your stomach may seem bloated from water retention. you may seem cranky and irritable for no reason. some people get headaches or backaches just before they get their period.
Anyway, these may not be all the signs but at least you get the idea about some of the signs anyway.

For me a week before I start to get small cramping in my abnomen and back. Small headaches can occur. Also, you may feel tired or have no energy. Also there may be feelings of anger, sadness for no reason at all.

If you have a very uncomfortable period first see your doctor. If they do not find anything wrong you may try relaxing baths, peaceful walks, or even take a small nap. I find that when I have period pains that moving around helps ease the pain.

Have you ever had a period before? For 4 months before i got my first period i spotted. I know this is disgusting but there would be brown yucky stuff in my underwear. Then 4 months later I woke up and there was blood everywhere. Now before i get a period i usually get really bitchy and irritable for no reason and my stomach and back hurts.
