You should see the ER doctor immediately. They have this happen frequently. There is a risk of serious infection, possibly death. It is embarassing, but it is much better than the alternative of being seriously ill. The ER personnel will forget you soon after you leave as they are always busy and have a variety of patients to see. I worked in an ER, and the unusual stories told are NOT about stuck tampons. That is a very boring subject, believe me.

Tampons are not to be worn longer than 8 hours because of increased risk of toxic shock syndrome. Call dr or gyne, you'll be in and out the same day or could go to planned parenthood. Don't be embarrassed, this happens frequently. Remove at least 1 or 2 a week at office i work at.
If you are brave, you could try small salad tongs or ice cube tongs, make sure clean first and then throw them away!!! They don't need to be sterile, penises aren't, well, not most of them. LOL

You should go right away if it is stuck inside you. If you wait you run the risk of getting an infection, or worse.
You would not want to run the risk of getting toxic shock syndrome

Don't wait. You run the risk of toxic shock syndrome if you do. Call your doctor ASAP and explain your dilemma. He/she may be able to give you some suggestions on how to remove it at home.

It happened to me, the string broke. I had to "fish" it out...I know gross, BUT it has to come out! It could build up an infection! From then on, I always tested the string before inserting!

RIGHT NOW!!! That can do a lot of damage and miss up you equipment for life and may case infection.
