I'm in my early 50's but people often mistake me for a person in her early 40's or late 30's. I have always used a day moisturizer with at least at least a SF of 15. At night I use a light night cream. Never !! --- Do I do sun!! Not even with a block of 65!!! I am lucky to have inherited nice skin from my mom, but like you, I know I have to protect it. Here's something else. I am American, but find European soaps to be so much better for my face . You are so wise to be protecting your skin now, because at some point when women do not, the damage is irreversible. I live near the beach. Young women who love the tanned look are only 25 but look 45.

Drink 6-8 glasses of water per day, and 2 tbls. of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water 2-3 x day, last but not least, use pure coconut oil. I am 50 and have no lines or wrinkles. I still get carded when I go to a different store to buy cigarettes. There are hundreds of websites that will tell you how to use natural ingredient to get beautiful hair, nails, lose weight and stay beautiful. Deal with the age issue now. One day you will be 50, 60, 70 years of age. I tell myself everyday that I am the most beautiful woman of my age group. As my soon to be husband says: think young, be young, ageless! Who by the way is much younger than I. Face up to the fact that you are aging, but you are the most beautiful woman of your age group. Use salt, sugar or cornmeal as an exfoliant. Works for me. Pure coconut oil is priceless. Very inexpensive.

Anything with CoQ10 is good. Cheaper stuff (like Nivea and Neutrogena) works as well as the fancy stuff from department stores.

More important than moisturizers for keeping your skin nice is to not smoke (that and tanning do the most damage to your skin), limit your alcohol intake and wear sunscreen of some kind every day (most good moisturizers come with versions with 15 spf in them -- that's enough unless you live in Arizona or work outdoors.) Also, get plenty of sleep and avoid stress.

Other than that, your genetics will determine if your skin will stay smooth longer. Also, you can take estrogen when you start menopause which will keep your skin young (but that can lead to health risks of some kinds so you have to discuss this with your doctor.) Exercise that makes you sweat helps increase circulation to your facial tissue.

~And do you really think a good moisturizer will prevent wrinkles? Get a grip, wrinkles are a natural and normal part of aging. Perhaps you should stop worrying about the wrinkles and focus on your fear of aging. You're going to get old like everyone else. Believe it or not, it's not the end of the world and there are some advantages to it (especially for women).

Palmers Cocoa Butter. It comes in a jar. You can get it at walgreens and it's cheap. I also saw Oil of Olay, bar soap in despensers in every empty exam at a Dermatotogist office. Ever since, I've used Oil of Olay.

Mom used Cocoa Butter and at 75, still not even one wrinkle. Just look at Oprah show about Jan 20 on gues the age of these women. The most surprising one was a pretty lady in heals. Everyone thought she was about 35. She was 75. and she said, Moisutrise,Moisturise,Moisturise.
