Interesting opinion, but you have to look at the fact that this game was a #1 vs #5, UNC having a much deeper bench and overall more ability and talent from those players than USC. It's clear that the Trojans were just worn out near the end.
As for "covering the spread", all 4 #1 teams came out the winner after making up for major deficits in the score (Ohio State, 20 points, fixed also?)
The fact is that USC played a really good game. They shook down some of the best players on the floor today. They ran out of steam though. Taj Gibson was playing his butt off, but in looking at the fact that he was playing for most of his team, he tired and started slipping with the fouls. As for giving UNC a chance to make the run, you don't know ACC basketball very well! Games like this are the average from Nov through March for all the ACC teams (without claims of games being fixed, NC State beat UNC clean because they had the stamina to outlast the bench that Roy has recruited perfectly). UNC is a good team, period. Take the L like all the other teams have in this tournament, throwing cheap accusations only cheapens the sport. (What about the call that wasn't made during the Georgetown/Vanderbilt game? NJ is in Big East territory, after all?)
(and yes, I am a UNC fan. Tar Heel born and bred. But, it's always about the better team at the end of the game)

Sure the refs missed a few calls that should have went USC's way. I'm not if there's ever a game where the refs get all the calls right. (Look at the Georgetown game from last night.) In the end though Carolina's depth on the bench worse out USC. Looking over the season you can see where any team starts looking tired towards the end of the game and Carolina looks fresh cuz of the deep bench they have.
Oh yea I'm a Heels fan. Tar Heel born, Tar Heel breed and when I die I'll be Tar Heel dead. Go Heels!!!!!!

No, I just think USC ran out of gas, as well as their coach seemed to implode. While the calls weren't in their favor, the worst was the non call of traveling against Georgetown's Green against Vanderbilt. Green traveled while making his final shot, the basket that won the game. USC started missing from outside, and continued to try three's while NC was crashing the boards and taking all the rebounds. Tough loss for both Vandy and the Trojans.

I've seen a lot of bad calls this NCAA Tourney. I saw Vanderbilt lose in the last seconds because the refs didn't call an obvious walk on a Georgetown player, but I don't think any of the games are fixed. The refs are just human. They make mistakes.

This isn't Cricket.... there may have been some bad calls but there are bad calls in every game. At some point USC could've stopped worrying about calls and started playing basketball but they didn't and they lost. It gets frustrating and you lose rhythm. The coach's job is to not let that ruin your momentum and USC's coach clearly lost his along with his team.

No, they are closely watched and besides, their is really no way to legally prove something like that. Their were several calls not made against USC, and quite a few fouls called on Hansborugh (spelling) early that were obviously non existent.
This accusation is almost worthy of the title 'excuse', I hate carolina, but they just used their bench to expose USC lack of depth on the bench.

I doubt it. The NCAA is gonna make a lot more money if underdogs go far (people are far more likely to watch games and root for the underdog than see two number one and number two seeds battle it out).
