I'd have to say around 24 000. Because I know the earth spins at about a thousand miles per hour. And I takes about 24 hours for the earth to rotate once. Simple math.

Depends...Its wider around the equator compared to the prime meridian. Because of the spin of the earth, the centrifugal forces cause the earth to be wider at the equator.
