If you haven't gotten a positive test and you don't want to be pregnant, keep taking birth control in case you're NOT pregnant so you don't become pregnant while waiting for test results. If you are pregnant, though, the pills WON'T hurt your baby. Babies born to mothers who took the pill have the same percentage of defects as babies whose mother did not take the pill. Basically meaning it DOES NOT CAUSE DEATH OR DEFECTS! Of course it would be pointless to take them once you find out for sure you're pregnant, but until then there's nothing wrong with continuing to take them. If you stop and it turns out you're not pregnant, then you'll have to use protection for the next MONTH afterwards because anytime you skip pills or stop and start your chance of pregnancy increases for the next 4 weeks. Good luck!

Of course you don't want to keep taking birth control if you know you are pregnant, but if you do, it will not cause any harm. Also, the pills do not make a pregnancy test inaccurate, so you should go ahead and use one. If you've been taking the birth control on a regular basis, the chance of a pregnancy is about 0.1%. If your use has been irregular, the risk of pregnancy is as high as 5%.
If I were you, I would not listen to any medical advice on this site (even my advice). The best thing for you to do would be to go see a doctor.

If you think you might be pregnant, you should stop taking your birth control pills and take a home pregnancy test or go to your doctors for a blood pregnancy test.

no i would stop bacause if you are too much of the hormone from the birht control pill can cause you to miscarry. i would take a preg test and call your doctor, depending on the results. you may have to take a couple of tests.

NO! It's like trying to induce a miscarriage--use condoms until you're sure. Go to a doc and have them give you a more accurate test.
