The film
A film adaptation of the novel and video game has been in the works for quite some time. In 2006, director John Woo and actor Matt Damon have been reported to be casted in the film adaptation. Aside from Damon, other actors considered for the role of John Clark included Oscar Awards winner Joaquin Phoenix and young actor Brandon Routh. [1]
The cast and the director have since dropped out.

it was first thought of as the next movie when Sum of all Fears was picked.
last thing i heard was a possible tv movie or series.
