Delete temporary files clean up your destop get rid of any icons u dont use, defragment an remove any programs u dont use u can take your computer to a computer store and have it optimized the more memory u have availible the faster your computer will run

Buy RAM. Only $80 for 512 MB. Good Luck! Ram is what makes the computer go faster when running stuff. Also try defragmenting you harddrive. If your talking about internet get cable it's faster than DSL.

limit the amount of programs that start with windows to a minimal and don't allow programs to control or hug your computer also download start up mechanic for free and your computer will fly a faster hard drive will help

It depends on your computer. They can only run as fast as the weakest link in the system, I suggest a Dual Core systerm (either Intel or AMD) with a minimum of 1GB of RAM. If you already have a decent processor then updrage you RAM and try partitioning your HD if it's a big one.

Do a spyware and anti virus scan cleanup. Then do a defrag. If that doesn't work then think about adding extra RAM. You can get 512MB for less than $50.

Check the Ram you might not have another space on it a may have to get a external hard drive. But first try a disk cleanup. I hope this helped:)

remove programs that you weren'y using... you can also run a speed test online and take note with it's download and upload speed.. if you're thinking that it is not the actual speed you are paying for, then call up your ISP.. have then check on your line, because it could also be a line problem or not just a complete provisioned speed...
