could be a virus, a bug in your system, something inside might be overheating.

Sometimes a computer will continuously restart because it's overheating. Open up the computer and find the CPU. There should be heatsink (purpose of heatsink is to dissipate heat from the CPU) and fan. (The fan is usually on top of the heatsink). Check to make sure that the fan is actually running and not dead. Another possibility is that there is a virus like others mentioned but whenever I've had this issue -- it's been more of a hardware problem than a virus.

I would hazard a guess that you are running Windows XP. There is a setting located Under Control Panel - Performance and Maintenance - System on the advanced tab that tells XP to shut down and restart on error. This in the old days was the famous Blues screen. When the system runs into an error in XP instead of showing the Blue Screen of death the system just reboots. You can turn this off by unchecking the box on the advanced tab. Under the start up and recovery settings. Hope this helps. Use the Blue Screen error message when it appears and google the information to find a remedy.

You probably have a virus, or, your F2 settings are telling your computer to shut off after a period of however long it lasts before it turns off. You have to go in there by shutting it down and the when you turn it back on press F2 continually until you get to that menu settings and change it. I suggest you have someone do it for you that has more experience with computers or is computer literate. You might want to check your owners manual on how to change these settings. You shouldn't have to much trouble doing it. However, if you have a virus, it might be harder to get it fixed. Hopes this helps.

This is most likely spyware, I'd try scanning with AVG Anti-Virus, Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware.
IF Windows will not boot up and keeps restarting your computer this means that you have a corrupt boot file and you should reinstall Windows.
Good Luck!

probably a virus or adware/spyware problem. ive been using several programs for them. spybot, winpatrol, ad-aware n counterspy. my recomendation would be ad-aware cuz is free. just look for it in download.com. counterspy is good too but you've only got a 15 day trial.
