I don't know, but even people with Avatars, like me, are showing up with male heads. I think Yahoo is having a problem. But yeah, I know what you mean - why can't you get a generic female head?

EVEN I NOTICED IT. WELL, THEM NEW USERS DID NOT TAKE ENOUGH TIME TO SET UP THEIR ACCOUNTS BEFORE GOING ON TO ANSWER OR ASK QUESTIONS.
I GUESS BY DEFAULT THE MALE HEAD APPEARS IF A PROFILE IS INCOMPLETE.
