I like the other benefits it provides - shorter periods, less cramps, etc.

Yes, but don't smoke. It is very dangerous to smoke and be on the pill. I used to like being on the pill because I knew exactly when my period would start. Also, this way you are covered in the event you suddenly meet someone and get swept off your feet!

Yes! It has a lot of benefits. There is some minor concern with it's possibility to cause breast cancer but most dr's will tell you its not a problem. As long as you are not on it for years and years without a break (ie pregnancy or going off) your risk shouldn't really increase. Also the pill decreases your risk of ovarian cancer. Personally I would stay on it...plus you never know when you are going to get a new partner and it takes a few weeks for the pill to be an effective form of birth control if you have been off of it.

Yes. Some people get on the pill just for the other benefits. I've considered it myself. The pill's benefits are not changed by the fact of you having sex or not. It's a pill.
but make sure u do not smoke!!

Stay on the pill until you decide to you want to try and have a child. At any moment you could meet a guy and want to do the nasty. Birth control isn't just for those in a relationship. You do know it takes 1 month for birth control pills to start working right?

Well, if you are not like me, then stay on it. I go completely nuts on the pill, very emotional, up and down. Still can't understand how you women can handle this hormonal pill!

nope, i usually do not recommend women taking pills as there are a LOT of patients at gynae who suffer infertility and other health issues due to oral contraceptives. alternately go in for a condom.

Yes, it is.
