sign up for www.equestriansingles.com or www.equestrianfriends.com and spell out what you are looking for - riding buddies (or more if you are so inclined).
Tons of horse people on there, some looking for romance but others just looking for folks to ride with.
Since you would be riding one of their horses, it would be polite to offer some help with chores when you are at their barn so they don't feel used. Or bring the food! Horse people love to eat it seems.

Would suggest looking around to find a horse riding centre close to your home or maybe advertise in your local paper that you are looking for a horse to exercise. Busy people who own horses will often let experienced riders exercise their horses to keep their fitness up.
