Can't find your source????? Can you provide me with a link to the Fox news story.

Please don't say O'reilly or Hannity or any of many Op Eds that Fox has on its broadcast.

Now Fox does have a "News" segment, the others are Opinion Editorials basically. So I am asking for THE NEWS.

Only link I find on Fox "news" makes no claim of "act of war"

Here are the headlines....from FOX

Naval forces of Iran's hardline Revolutionary Guards captured 15 British sailors and marines at gunpoint Friday in the Persian Gulf — an audacious move coming during heightened tensions between the West and Iran.
<----snip----->
In London, the British government summoned the Iranian ambassador to the Foreign Office, and Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett said he "was left in no doubt that we want them back."

Thanks for the Kudos....despite the fact many of us may lean to the right on many issues. Just as many of us are able to sort through the BS, and never rely on one source for our news. I find myself (sadly) using more and more international broadcast to actually get some REAL news. Even then, I still check the opposing views.

If the incident occurred in Iraqi waters, I'd epect the Brits to defend themselves, but they surrendered their weapons and went peacefully. They followed another boat suspected of smuggling, and that boat may have evaded British pursuit by heading toward Iranian territory. Since the Brits went peacefully, they may have realized that they were at least very near the line.
Fox news sells sensationalism (say that 3 times fast), as do most other news sources. They're for profit enterprises.

Here's a link to Al Jazeera's story. I dare you all to read it:

Fox is nothing but a reactionary echo chamber for the right wing Bush administration and it's extremists.
Israel thought it was an act of war when Hezbollah held captive some of their service men. Then again, Israel is pretty reactionary when it comes to this kind of thing. Most countries will try to dialogue. Unfortunately our country doesn't dialogue with Iran, therefore it's a good thing that it isn't U.S soldiers. This is a very scarrey and wreckless game that both sides are playing, however.

Funny - Yahoo posted the exact same thing as Fox News. Are they twisting the truth, too?

Besides, the BBC itself admits it's biased. Why would you listen to such crap? Except for the obvious fact that it reinforces your own ideology.

And why do I have a feeling that you think CBS didn't do anything wrong?

ALL of the media is full of crap. The LA Times got caught with a doctored-up picture that made the British troops look bad. But I heard NOTHING from the left.

CBS had their little memo problem - faked documents again raised *no* alarms from the left.

A Reuters photographer got busted for Photoshopping pictures of the recent Israeli-Lebanese conflict which made the Israelis look very bad - again, nothing but silence from the left.

Hypocrisy, thy name is liberal....

And what, exactly, would *you* call it, when the Iranians went into Iraqi waters and kidnapped British troops? A mistake? Appeasers like you just piss me off. Thank God *you're* not in charge or I might be stuck wearing a f*ing burka.

And FFS!! It's MARINES. Yahoo *does* provide a spell check. Don't be afraid - it's very simple to use.

This is one of those things where both sides think they've got the truth - Brits think they were outside of Iran territory, Iran thinks they were inside. We'll probably never know for sure. Just hope neither side uses this to start something bigger. That goofy Hannity was already calling the british troops hostages - good grief, I bet that would tick them off!!!!

this is of course a "he said" "she said" situation... and it's pretty early in the situation, so it's hard to sort out the facts...

ESPECIALLY ENOUGH TO CALL IT AN ACT OF WAR... when it's hard to know the exact facts...

I suspect this matter will be resolved fairly quickly, as these things often are... I remember when a US plane went down near or in China... it was like engine trouble and the guys survived the plane going down and China kept them a couple of days and then sent them back...

I have harldy read the details of your question but I can say that Fox News isn't news. It is propaganda in favor of the Republican agenda.

Watch the documentary "Outfoxed" you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll be enlightened

Direct quote from the link you posted:

"Both the Royal Navy and UK Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett denied the personnel from HMS Cornwall, which has its home port in Plymouth, had sailed into Iranian waters."

Now days it's pretty damned difficult at times to know just what the "truth" is is just who's "twisting" it.
Sounds to me, at least in this case, like Fox News had a pretty good source.
