I bought a wireless router in order to try and connect two computers up to they interent. My main computer hooks up fine. My other computer is in my office and I cant find a chord that reaches that far. Is there some sort of a usb thingy I can buy so my computer in my office can communicate with my wireless router in my living room.

Yes, you can buy a USB wireless adapter for your computer. You may also look at a PCI based wireless adapter if you have open slots off your motherboard and want to keep your USB port(s) freed up. I have used a model by Belkin before at one of my job sites and it did the trick.
