You should go for tight end because you are not fast enough for receiver or just stick to linebacker.

Funny, Im 6'3" And Weigh 190, Played Linebacker For 3 Years, But I Couldnt Run Fast Enough To Be A Wide Out. You Very Well Could Be A Wide Out, Might Be A Little Small For A Tight End

You have the size for a receiver but you don't have the speed for it, if your planning on playing collegiately or professionally. Unless you have excellent hands that never drop a ball, then most teams wont care since you can probably out jump most of the corners guarding you. If you can bring your 40 time down to a low 4.6 or high 4.5, I would say go for it. Otherwise try to bulk up to play TE. Either way, I think you'll do pretty good at either position with that height in high school.

You sound like a GREAT linebacker, but you seem fast enough to be a WR. It depends how old you are. In my school, if your a JR. or SR. you should run about a 4.5

If your an underclassman though, your 40 sounds great, and you seem fast enough. Even if you are an upperclassmen, a 4.7 is a fast 40 time, and if you really wanna play WR, go for it

wide out is perfect
ur stature is perfect for a dominant wideout
but many lanky receivers lack the ability to run routes accurately so make sure you strenghten your hips to improve your agility
and u wil definetly need to work on ur speed
a 4.7 is not slow but truthfully a defensive end shuld run about a 4.7
i am a 9th grade defensive tackle and i run a 4.9
it shuldnt even be close
but other than that ur perfect for a wideout

Any coach that's dumb enough not to give you a shot with numbers like that isn't someone to play for!!! If you can catch the ball you have a shot to be something special. There are a lot of college recievers smaller and slower than you!

if you improve your 40 than you can make a great wide reciever or if you gain some more muscle and weight than you'd be a fine tight end.
