I Have Plans On Starting My Record Label LIS Records And Opening My Studio, And Wondered If People Would Support A Label That Cares More About Making Great Music For Everyone To Hear Than Making Money Off Of Artists. When I Open My Studio, I Plan To Have Selected Free Stdio Time For Anyone Who Walks In. (The Best Way In My Mind To Find Bright Young Talent) One Thing I Have Noticed In The Last 5 Years: Most Music Today In Their Respective Genres Sound Extremely Similar... Which We Know As "Mainstream". Well It's Hardly "Mainstream" When It All Sounds The Same, If You Ask Me. I'd Like To Put The Passion Back In The Music You Hear, And Not The Noise Of The Pen You Imagine When You Wonder How Fast They Wrote The Lyrics. And Then Slapped It Together With A Bunch Of Loops And Called It "Unique". And The Reason I Ask.. Most People Know Things Or Services That Cost More Than The Average. Like Buying I-Pods Or A Mercedes Instead Of GPX And Kia.

Well sure I would.. It's about the music. But it's gonna be hard on you if your focus is everywhere. Focus on one type of music at a time.
You have to get major artist to help you start up. I am really in to hard rock. If you get Scott Weiland to help you I'll buy any album he puts out from your lable.

well, non beneficial record labels should be brought up more nowadays but everyone needs green to live. i would but no for free ENTIRELY. finding new and young talent is the best the music industry has never done. though many music are similar some others are uniquely unique. people forget about the passion in music and use music as an alternative for making money; both the artist and the record label. maybe passion for music is no more in this world but i would always sign a willingly record label whose objective and cause is for the music.

p/s: i'm actually searching for a company or anyone who would 'take' my songs i wrote. and i hope your record label works out. with fingers crossed and hope in heart, who says you'll fall apart?

Thank you so much. I think that so many great artists have been shafted by the music industry, and so many more haven't even cut an album because they did not meet the "standards" of the label.

Your venture sounds like a dream come true for any musician or any music lover, but I wonder how you're going to get money to continue the label. If you already have sufficient money, and your just doing this for love of music, three cheers for you!

(Please don't capitalize all your words, it makes my brain hurt.)

Where do I sign up? I totally agree with your view. The best music is not mass produced and marketed.
