Pantene coats you hair with wax, which creates this silky smooth feeling, but does absolutely nothing for the structure of your hair. Come on ladies, I am a strait male and I know this. Although my wife is a Hairstylist....Try Aveda, TG, Bumble & Bumble, or if you must go the grocery route choose a company that makes color. So you know TG and Paul Mitchell that are bought in the grocery store are not backed by those companies. Those products are bought second hand, at best, and are acquired through diversion.

This is the land of quick fixes and instant gratification. So many are only concerned with images and impressions of outward appearance, so few with true health and beauty, which of course require more time and effort. Those who want the Truth will seek and find it. May you be as wise and discerning in all areas as you are in this. Peace to you.

People as you call them, are not caught up into Pantene Products. People got caught long time ago, with an excellent marketing campaign that made Pantene Products take possession of the market. People will be kept loyal to the product for the longest time possible or until another campaign do what they did before.
...and it is a good product.
only when you search for the truth, you realized the lie beneath it

Well, in my area, nobody is hawking this product so everybody buys and tries all the different ones in the stores( including the ones you mentioned) and sticking to what works for them.
Advertising does that. It sells by pitching endorsements from pretty people. The sales pitch is "see how pretty my hair is? Your hair will look just as pretty if you use my product. (Swish hair ) smile at camera.

Having said that, I like some pantene products but maybe will buy only one every now and then only when the mood strikes me.

Not everyone uses Pantene. I see lots of commercials and ads for products other than Pantene (like Loreal, Fructis Garnier, and Sunsilk). I think that's a really wide generality to make. Plus, people should get to choose what stuff they put in their hair, even if it's not the best product in the world.

Because the Pantene company spent millions on advertising and having celebrities endorse it. It's like that anywhere in the world. I go to Hong Kong some rich, attractive, local celeb is endorsing it same in the Philippines as well as the States.

Advertisements have some kind of persuasive power we cannot understand.

I don't think people are overly keen on Pantene...its just the advertising that makes us think everyone uses it. Personally, I find changing shampoos etc every couple of months, seems to benefit both my hair and scalp.

I have no idea. I have used many shampoos and am now a Suave gal. In my opinion works just as good as the more expensive stuff!
