Most racism evolves from religion! In fact all wars evolve from religion!
Colour does not really come into it is only a problem if you were taught by your parents that it is so.
We have to start with the children, bringing them up to think racism is stupid would be a good start, also belt the parents around the ears until they can behave sensibly.
If the religious fanatics could be made sane and the elders re-educated not to scare the hell out of the kids, we might start to get somewhere.
When one studies it there is not really much difference between the religions, it is only the radical and fanatical beliefs that cause the problems. Lets eliminate the radical schools that brainwash the kids to kill themselves.
We are all one people, we all have the same body parts, we only need the brain re-tuned.

Through equal opportunity education and media time. You will always have racism but it is compounded with the images shown to society. The best of one culture is shown in the media while the worst is shown of another. I don't have to tell you about the images you see everyday of one culture over another.

There is no clear cut solution to completely clearing racism because unfortunately ignorance breeds quickly, however have hope for younger generations to become more open minded and willing to learn more about themselves and the cultures and individuals around them. Because there will always be a bigot here or there but from what I see from elementary school students they dont care who you are as long as you are their friend.

Get rid of useless ideas like "affirmative action" and "political correctness." They broaden the racial differences, rather than bring everyone closer together.

By teaching people not to be ignorant but rather be open minded. Also by not stereotyping but judging people individually.
