Mattel Switch 'N Go!

Race cars, tanks, dump trucks, and the 60's "Lost in Space" charriot were the battery operated vehicles that traveled over a pnuematic tube. The tube was laid out in the path you wished the vehicles to follow. Tube pieces were about 2 feet long, with little purple joiners to build a track. Additionally, there were pads that enabled tube paths to intersect or make the vehicle switch from one path to another. Also, some pads enabled the vehicles to reverse, fire a missle (tank and charriot) or dump a load of marbles (dump truck). There were larger pads for other activities and bridges and archways. A 40 year-old toy. And I still have mine!

I think clay must have been my favorite.
I played with clay a lot - modeling clay.
I love to make clay animals.
My favorite is the elephant.
We had Play-Doh too.
I don't have any clay that age.

I still have my Barbie and Ken dolls - they're at least 45 years old. I made some of their clothes for them.
I have another doll - life-size doll about that age too.
I think they survived - because I didn't play with them much except to make clothes and dress them and have tea parties with clay plates and teacups that I made myself.

oh my gosh, I was such a tom boy! At age 5 I was playing in the dirt building roads with my Tonka Trucks. Yes I still have it. It was one of the originals, made of real metal, not the cheap plastic like now.

My favorite toy was my stuffed doggie Thunderbolt. (I named him after the dog idolized by the puppies in the movie "101 Dalmations".) LOL Yes I still have him; he sits on the bookshelf across from my bed. ;-D

A baby doll called "pat-a-cake" (I think). When her tummy was pressed her hands would pat-a-cake. I loved her to death! My little sister sat on her and her head broke off. I was so devastated. I've looked on eBay and have never found another doll like that.

G.I.Joe, Stretch Armstrong, Evil Knievel with his motorcycle and my big wheel. Yeah, I grew up in the 70's. They are long gone.
