I have a website and i am looking for items to put on it to sell. I know there is wholesalers out ther but most want a tax ID number. I do not want to get one unless absolutely necessary. Any help would be great on any sites that have things you can list on your own site and for free. Any help at all on ANY of this matter!

The tax ID number is for your protection. If you act as a business, then you should really want one of those! You don't want all the tax liability of a business attached to your personal social security number, do you?
