Well if you really were 48, you wouldn't need my answer, so stop making up stupid questions and go back to your Nintendo and pimple faced 13 year old freinds..

Are you kidding.. who's the child in this relationship? Be a man and step up to the plate. Hopefully you can start a dialogue that will end up well but if not.. you tried and withheld an honest stance.. that will speak volumes. Also, she's not exactly a teenager here so, she is equally responsible. Just be responsible, upstanding adults and the storm will pass. Good luck and God bless; a child is a miracle.

well, first of all I would imagine her family would take the news better coming from their daughter.
I am guessing you are a college music teacher and she is in your class? If so, this is probably a violation of the schools policy on staff-student relationships...but it's not like you are teaching high school and she is 16. As Mandi said, you guys are both adults.
Her family is probably going to be pretty upset. It's shocking news. Give them time to digest things and I am sure they will come around.

I am sure they are going to find out regardless if you tell them or not besides you are both adults and you made this decision together. Just tell them everything will work out.

This probably isn't exactly what you want to hear but you're just going to have to sit them down and tell them. That's all you can really do.

You're almost 50. You are an adult and so is she. Take responsibility for your actions.
