John & Elizabeth both love politics. For them sit home &
dwell on her illness would be devastating.
Doing what you love is good medicine, & will give him
a very comprehensive look at the health system, or lack of,
that is going on in this country.

To be honest, I would do whatever my wife told me she was comfortable with me doing. My wife is a breast cancer survivor and I think it is fantastic that they have the courage to fight for what they believe in regardless of the hurdles they face in the future. The important thing is to stay active and do something you love. Sitting at home dwelling on the disease is counterproductive.
"Cancer can take away all of my physical abilities. It cannot touch my mind. It cannot touch my heart and it cannot touch my soul. And those three things are going to carry on forever." -Jim Valvano, former coach of the 1983 NCAA champion North Carolina State Wolfpack and Arthur Ashe Courage Award recipient.
And RAT, John Edwards is not currently a senator. Good job keeping current...

I think John Edwards and his wife have reached their own decision.
I think he just might consider duty to country to be paramount.
And isn't that a quality conservatives claim is a virtue?

It's definitely a personal decision. I would be home with my family, but that's whats right for me. I'm not going to judge him just because his family deals with things different than I would.

I can assure you that this country doesn't need John Edwards. I have no idea about his family, but this country doesn't need him at all.

'Im not, so I can't speak for him. It's his call.
But what should they do, feely sory for themselves. When you have cancer, you have to be busy. If she has to take it easy for awhile, then she follows the dr's advice.

I think this may be a ploy to get more votes
But if his wife has cancer then he should back out, because the last thing anyone with cancer needs is to run their self into the ground.
He better think twice on this one
and think of his wife first not his ego.
