im doing a survey and this is one of the questions. I just want to get peoples view on why young people use drugs?

I think they want to do everything that they can to live on the edge. Using drugs is one of them. They are risk taker and think it is the thing to do.

Well,
As a teenager, i know if i were to do a drug, it would be for that feeling of being "high" or "drunk." The feeling is always portrayed as fun, and it really is. The feeling of being invinsible is exciting to many, even if they would just like to try drugs once in a lifetime.
Many young people do it because their friends have done it or do it on a regular basis. Peer pressure?
People don't usually try drugs to get addicted. Rather, they believe that addiction will not happen to them.
They hear in school that drugs are bad, but that sometimes makes it worth trying.

Speaking as someone who experimented with drugs as a kid and a student it is very simple.
Because they are fun.
If they didn't feel good why would people use them. Why do people drink alcohol? (See above answer for a hint)

Its all part of growing up "young and stupid" when you try things and like and hate the drugs they try.a good 1 is the 1 who stays ayay from the hard stuff i;e smack,coke,crack ect,we all done
naughty things in our lifes,even prince harry and william were and probally still in to the weed.

i think its becuase when they are younger things happen to them that they arent ready for certain situations have happpened or emotions they have about certain things..and as there emotions are all over the place they thrive to feel better and to feel on top of the world! they want to feel better than anything and drugs take them to another level which they can forget about the things that bother them..although there is some reason for them to take drugs

its the buzz that they get out of for some its peer pressure for some its they wana fit in the crowd peer presure for some its they are deppressed for some they need to go to that place far away from were dey are lol

In truth it is because they are good. Just like junk food and parachute jumps. Potentially bad for us but we are still compelled to do them because of the short term enjoyment.

i think people use drugs to release stress . some think drugs is the cure for stress .

im 19 i do drugs , because they make sex fell more fun. i smoke lots of weed too. it just calms our nerves because tens are hella energetic and they need to calm down.
